I’ve never been a huge organic food junkie. Part of me thinks it’s not all that it seems to be, a fad and overpriced. But after moving to Jordan and investigating more into the amount of pesticides on the produce (not to mention the presence of Monsanto), I decided it’s time to start scoping out organic farms here in Jordan. The first one I came across was Jabbok Farms which has farms across Jordan in Birien, Jerash, and near the Dead Sea. All of their produce is 100% organic, GMO-Free, no hormones, no chemicals, grown from ancient original seeds and outdoor earth-planted.

I’d seen their stall at the Nour Al Barakah Farmer’s Market, but recently I finally took the leap over to the organic produce party when I found out they deliver to your doorstep!

Want local organic fruits & veggies delivered to your house too? Here’s all you need to do:
Step 1
Add Jabbok Farms to WhatsApp 079 547 2689. And tell them “Hi, please add me to your weekly broadcast list”
or
Get added to their email broadcast by sending them an email to jabbokfarms@gmail.com
Step 2
Wait for Tuesday or Friday to come around. They will send you a WhatsApp (or email) during the morning with their weekly produce list available for ordering.
Step 3
Place your order by WhatsApp or email before 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday or Friday. If it’s your first order, send them your location as well. The minimum order amount is 10 JD.
Step 4
Your produce will be delivered on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 12 noon and 6 pm. If you’re not home, you can just leave the money under the door mat.
Step 5
Enjoy 🙂
What are you waiting for? Support local farmers & switch to organic produce now!
Thank you for your article. I’ve learned from you that there is Monsanto in Jordan and I’m really disappointed. I wish to buy fresh fruits and veggies free from pesticides and what to ask you do you still buying organic stuff and where if yes.

Chelsea: This information is a blessing! We just arrived 2 weeks ago and I buy almost exclusively organically in the US (mostly from our local farmer’s market in Annapolis MD and farmers out on the Eastern Shore of Maryland). Monsanto stinks……literally…. Bad for our health and equally bad for those who work in the fields and pick the produce. Many thanks for putting this great info out there and making easy and accessible for the new arrivals.
