One of my favorite places in Amman, not only for the food and views of old city Amman and the Citadel, but for the great atmosphere to work remotely, is the Wild Jordan Center in Jabal Amman city centre.

There are plenty of comfy couches and places to sit and work from at Wild Jordan. Unlike other restaurants, they won’t bother you if you just order a drink like tea, coffee, smoothie or juice. However, their food is definitely worth a try as it’s made from healthy and local ingredients.

Background about the Wild Jordan Center
The Wild Jordan Center is owned by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) and aims to generate an income for the rural communities of the 8 reserves in Jordan protected by RSCN. When you walk in you will find the “Nature Shop”, which sells items manufactured and produced in these reserves, with proceeds directly supporting their population.
The Center is also big on promoting ecotourism in Jordan, and their website offers many adventure escapes including camping, hiking, canyoning, cycling, cultural activities, etc. You can find out more on their website.
Location: Othman Ben Affan St. 36, Amman (just about 400m off of Rainbow Street)

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check it out to add to the list as long as you really can’t smell the smoke on the 2nd floor… since smoke rises…
